Amalfi Hotels

In the south side of the Bay of Naples in the southern Italian region of Campania lies the picturesque and historical town of Sorrento. Overlooking the Bay and of course, the city of Naples (Napoli), this small but idyllic place is one of Italy’s premier tourist destinations thanks to its handy location in a region with everything that the south of Italy is famous for – the clear, warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, arguably the finest cuisine in the world (particularly seafood) and that unmistakeable southern Italian hospitality.

Mount Vesuvius and the perfectly preserved ruins of Pompeii are a short car journey away, as are those of Ercolana, another town destroyed by the volcano although less well preserved. A short ferry ride takes us to the sublime islands of Capri or Ischia and a 2-hour train ride takes us to Rome – the eternal city and unforgettable capital of Italy.
