Hotels in Milan - Where to stay in Milan

Milan is the richest city in Italy and is very popular for business exhibitions and trade fairs. However, it is also a fun city and the shopping in Milan is some of the best in the world, with every household designer name like Gucci, Prada, Versace and Armani all choosing Milan as the city to host their flagship stores.

Cultural and historical attractions and other places of interest are also to be found in abundance. The most popular attraction - with in excess of 10,000 visitors a day - is undoubtedly The Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci, which is located in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in the historical centre. Other places of historical interest are of course, the Duomo, La Scala Opera House and the Galleria of Vittorio Emanuele. The Castello di Sforzesco and the Navigli canals are definitely worth a visit too. Last but not least, it wouldn't be right to talk about Milan without mentioning the two football teams, AC Milan and Internazionale, two of the best teams in the world. The stadium where they play - the Giuseppe Meazza or San Siro - is a architectural masterpiece and has been used as a blueprint for stadia around the world.

The Zona Fiera or exhibition centre area was relocated to Pero-Rho which is the last stop on line 1 (the red line). The new Fiera Milano is only an additional 20 minutes from the old exhibition centre now called FieraMilanoCity, which is still be used for smaller events.

The hotels below have been marked in terms of their location as follows: TS - Train Station, HC - Historical Centre, EXH - Exhbition Centre Fiera Milano, LA - Linate Airport, NC - Non Central i.e. periphery or surrounding towns.
